Muriya

General information

Muriya is a joint venture between Orascom Development Holdings (70%), a leading developer of integrated destinations and Omran (30%), the tourism development arm of the Omani Government.

With a total investment to date of USD600 million and covering 20.84 million square metres of land, we have four developments in process. Jebel Sifah, located 20 minutes from Bandar Khayran and Salalah Beach, Muriya’s flagship destination located in the tropical city of Salalah in the southeast of Oman, are the two largest Integrated Tourism Complexes (ITCs) in the Sultanate of Oman. In the preconstruction phase, is a landmark hotel in Sodah Island, placed off the coast of Dhofar in the Indian Ocean and a retail complex in the Seeb area, located in the heart of the capital Muscat.

When it comes to the people, Muriya always seeks to directly enhance the quality of living and lifestyle of surrounding communities, whether through employment opportunities or supporting local small businesses as they grow. Indeed, by developing these uniquely thriving and integrated towns, Muriya is one of the leading incubators of SMEs in Oman.
