الجامعة الإسلامية في لبنان مؤسسة لبنانية خاصة للتعليم العالي مرخصة بموجب المرسوم رقم 8600 تاريخ 12 حزيران 1996. أطلق فكرتها ووضع غرسها سماحة الإمام المغيب السيد موسى الصدر، وتأسست بهمة وعناية سماحة آية الله الإمام الراحل الشيخ محمد مهدي شمس الدين (قدس سره). ويتعهد اليوم حفظها وتطورها وإنماءها سماحة الإمام الشيخ عبد الأمير قبلان نائب رئيس المجلس الإسلامي الشيعي الأعلى ورئيس مجلس أمنائها، ويرأسها الأستاذة الدكتورة دينا المولى.
